The Mutts

The Mutts are a 4 piece cover band with 2 guitars,drums,bass guitar,lead and backing vocals. We play a wide range of music from different era’s covering rock,pop,ballads,punk,reggae,country and soul. Every member of THE MUTTS has been playing music for over 20 years,both original music and cover’s. As an original band we released our very own E.P in 2001,played on the same bill as Glen Hansard and Damien Dempsey and headlined thousands of gigs around the country. As a cover band we have built up a huge setlist and we can pick and choose songs from this list that would suit any occasion,be it a wedding,birthday party,christmas due,different pub gig’s,whatever the occasion we will have a set to fit.

Mick has been singing and playing guitar since his early teens and was the frontman in the original band he started up with the rest of the lad’s from THE MUTTS for 10 years. He then went on to write his own songs and did many solo gig’s before once again teaming up with the lad’s to form THE MUTTS COVER BAND.

Lead guitarist Alan first picked up a guitar before he could walk,he has been in many different band’s as a lead guitarist and also as a lead vocalist. He has covered a wide range of genre’s and style’s over the years both in original and cover band’s and regularly get’s call’s for session work for live gig’s and for studio work. He has travelled all over the country gigging and has a great knowledge of the technical side of how music works.

Bass player Stephen has been playing music for more than 20 years.He has been in 3 original bands covering a wide range of music including rock,pop,jazz,reggae and has been called up by various artists to play on their albums and doing gigs around the country.He also attended Ballyfermot school of music for 3 years learning the in’s and outs of the music industry.

Robbie started playing the Drums when he was just 5 years old,he has been the backbone for many original bands over the years and was also the percussionist for the National youth orchestra,the Dublin youth orchestra and played on many occasions in the national concert hall and across Europe. Robbie has also done alot of session work for different artist’s.
