The Roadhouse Doors

Band Bio

The Roadhouse Doors Show is a complete tribute that recreates the look and feel and sound of a live 1960’s Doors concert as closely as possible. This gig is a must see for anyone who enjoys good live music, and not just Doors fans. Our set spans the very best of the Doors repertoire, focusing mainly on the Jim Morrison years.

To get that edgy, authentic 1960’s Doors sound, the band use genuine vintage equipment – the same ones that The Doors themselves used, including Vox Continental and Hammond Organs, Rhodes Electric Piano, and Gibson SG Guitars.

The Doors wrote and released an incredible amount of top quality songs, creating one of the defining sounds of 1960’s Los Angelos and California. At the same time they had a very unique and distinct sound, and a knack for writing catchy, bluesy and sometimes psychedelic melodies, combined with the powerful, lyrical genius of Jim.
The Roadhouse Doors Show includes very best Doors songs, including the big hitters such as Roadhouse Blues, Riders On The Storm, Light My Fire, The End, Peace Frog, When The Music’s Over, Break On Through, Love Me Two Times and more. To recreate the whole 1960’s feel, the band have also assembled some pre-show nostalgic audio montages from 1960’s LA scene.

Our front-man, Peter, who recently joined the band has a strikingly similar voice to Jim Morrison, and a fantastic vocal range, as well as being and accomplished guitar player, song writer, actor and generally extremely talented bloke. Filling Jim Morrison’s shoes in a Doors tribute is a helluva challenge that Peter manages to do extremely well. In true Morrison fashion, expect the unexpected!
Henrik, who takes on the the role of Ray Manzarek on keyboards, has played in numerous bands including two Pink Floyd tributes, a Supremes/Diana Ross tribute, an Abba tribute, a 50’s rockabilly/rock ‘n’ roll band, and several covers bands. Henrik has crafted his playing style and organ sounds for each Doors song with uncanny accuracy. And no, the band doesn’t use a bass player, it’s all left hand bass lines on the keys, the ONLY way it should be done!

Joe on guitars, has played for over 20 years in numerous covers bands. For the Roadhouse Doors, Joe recreates Rob Krieger’s playing style, tone and weaving solos very tastefully, using Gibson SG and Fender stratocaster guitars, Marshall and Fender amps, and Boss effects.

Brian (drums) has played in countless bands such as The Memories, Slam, Chips, to name a few, here in Ireland and abroad, as far away as Egypt, Dubai, Oman and the USA. His style ranges from blues to jazz and swing, and is well capable of lashing out any hard hittin’ numbers you could possibly mention.
